Dr. Yarnell’s Approach
Dr. Yarnell often employs a weight-adjusted framework when higher levels of support are desired:
Individuals over 150 pounds: 5 mL three times daily
Individuals under 150 pounds: 2.5 mL three times daily
This higher-support phase is typically maintained for 2–3 months. If overall kidney support appears adequate at that point, he commonly reduces to 2.5 mL two to three times daily for continued maintenance.
Dr. Yarnell rarely uses a broad, multi-supplement approach. He generally relies on tinctures—including Two Treasures—to provide the primary supportive actions needed. Clinicians who take a more supplement-centric approach may find that moderate serving sizes are sufficient.
Dr. Yarnell uses GFR and urine protein as markers of kidneys health.
Typical usage duration: 1-2 months (longer term use okay)
After two to three months, consider switching to: Root of Life

Dr. Yarnell is convinced that fresh gotu kola offers substantial advantages over its dried counterpart. Fresh plant material preserves the full spectrum of bioactive constituents, many of which may degrade or diminish during the drying process. Both glycerite and tincture preparations are equally effective, allowing for flexibility in choosing the option that best suits your needs.
We use Parietaria judaica and Parietaria officinalis interchangeably in our extracts, and these are the only Parietaria species we work with. A thorough review of the botanical literature suggests that P. judaica is likely a subspecies or phenotypic variant of P. officinalis, with minimal genetic distinction between them. While they may differ slightly in growth habit, their traditional uses are functionally identical. Dr. Yarnell concludes there is no meaningful difference between the two and advocates for recognizing them under a single Latin name.

Our amazing Canadian Rhodiola growers had to pause production this season to complete important upgrades to their drying facility, which delayed this year’s harvest. The beautiful roots have now arrived and are under maceration. We’re making this a top priority and expect Rhodiola to be back in stock by mid-September.
Thank you for your patience — we can’t wait to share this new batch with you!
